Mandurah’s reliance on key players was exposed when three of their starters fouled out in a heavy loss to Perry Lakes on Friday night.

On a night that dominant import Nicole Fransson did not play, the Magic lost Casey Mihovilovich, Emma Klasztorny and Bree Mullenax during a fourth quarter fade-out.

When Mihovilovich picked up her fifth foul with more six minutes remaining, the home team trailed by just six points.

The deficit had grown to 12 by the time Klasztorny departed three minutes later and the Magic would make only one more shot from the field as Perry Lakes cruised to a 94-75 win.

Klasztorny led the home team with 22 points and seven rebounds and Rachel Pettitt’s 13 points off the bench came on 5-6 shooting, including 3-4 from long range.

Ash Isenbarger finished with 27 points for the visitors, well supported by Grace Stone (18 points).

The Magic hit the road this Saturday looking to regain their winning form against lowly East Perth Eagles, who are yet to win a game in 2024.
